ELoGE: Strengthening local governance in Kosovo

On November 15, 2023, the LDA Kosovo organized a conference in the Municipality of Peja focused on the First Phase of the European Label of Governance Excellence Programme, looking fowrward to the Second Phase.
Mr. Arber Vokrri, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Local Government Administration, and Mr. Tankut Soykan, Deputy Head of Office in Prishtina, Council of Europe, welcomed the guests and emphasized the significance of the ELoGE Programme for municipalities.
Mr. Gazmend Muhaxheri, Mayor of the Municipality of Peja, and Mr. Besnik Shala, representing the Municipality of Shtime, discussed the phases of the project. They shared their achievements and identified areas for improvement, and highlighted the role of ELoGE in enhancing the understanding of municipal performance and the positive impact of good local governance on citizens.
The conference provided a platform for insightful discussions on the ELoGE Program's objectives and its contribution to achieving better governance practices at the local level. It served as a valuable opportunity for municipalities to reflect on their performance and consider ways to further improve their services for the benefit of their citizens.
